BEYONCÉ WEARS GOLD LION KING-INSPIRED OUTFIT TO US ART GALA

BEYONCÉ WEARS GOLD LION KING-INSPIRED OUTFIT TO US ART GALA

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter paid homage to her latest film role, donning a gold, embellished and feathered outfit inspired by The Lion King.

The star, who plays Nala in Disney's live-action remake of the 1994 animated film, wore the ensemble for the 2019 Wearable Art Gala in Santa Monica, California.
Co-founded by Beyoncé's mother, Tina Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, the gala is a fundraiser for the WACO Theatre Centre, a non-profit gallery and performance space in Los Angeles.
The theme for this year's event was "A Journey to the Pride Lands", taking inspiration from
Jon Favereau's soon-to-be-released The Lion King.

Beyoncé shared a selection of photographs of her outfit on Instagram, providing her 128m followers with a close look at the details on her bodysuit, cape and heels.

The upper part of the singer's outfit featured a lion's face, with feathers protruding from it to mimic a mane.
Her bodysuit was adorned with gold sequins, while her gold heels were designed with fringed straps.
The post currently has more than 1.7m likes, and has garnered many praiseworthy comments.
"Omfg looook at this queen! I'm just dead," one fan wrote.
"The level of EXTRA ugh her MIND," another remarked.
Beyoncé also shared a video of her seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy singing the "Circle of Life" while wearing a multi-coloured headdress and yellow dress.

The recently released full trailer for The Lion King provided excited fans of the original film with an extended look at Favreau's new vision for the story.
The trailer shows a grown up Simba, played by Donald Golfer reconnecting with Beyoncé's Nala, just as the characters do in the original to Elton John and Tim Rice's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight".
In early April, Disney premiered new footage from the film at the Las Vegas ComicCon.

New Report Suggests ‘High Likelihood of Human Civilization Coming to an End’ Starting in 2050

New Report Suggests ‘High Likelihood of Human Civilization Coming to an End’ Starting in 2050 A harrowing scenario analysis of how human civilization might collapse in coming decades due to climate change has been endorsed by a former Australian defense chief and senior royal navy commander. The analysis, published by the Breakthrough National Centre for Climate Restoration, a think-tank in Melbourne, Australia, describes climate change as “a near- to mid-term existential threat to human civilization” and sets out a plausible scenario of where business-as-usual could lead over the next 30 years. The paper argues that the potentially “extremely serious outcomes” of climate-related security threats are often far more probable than conventionally assumed, but almost impossible to quantify because they “fall outside the human experience of the last thousand years.” On our current trajectory, the report warns, “planetary and human systems [are] reaching a ‘point of no re...
